Clinical Staff







 Sam Brown, PT, DPT     

Sam is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Physical Therapy. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2008 from AT Still University. He has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 2002.

Sam has worked in various clinical settings and has been involved with orthopedics, sports and industrial physical therapy, yet sees all types of neuromuscular conditions. He has been active in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association (KPTA), and the Private Practice Section of the APTA (PPS-APTA), serving as state president and other offices. He was on the APTA Board of Directors from 1993 to 1999 and served as the APTA's representative to the 1996 Para-Olympics in Atlanta and the AMA's RUC-HPAC.

Sam received the Outstanding Physical Therapy Service Award from KPTA, The Lucy Blair Service Award from APTA, and The Robert G. Dicus Award from the PPS-APTA.

Sam is active in many community and business groups and boards. He is a life member of the UK Alumni Association. He is an Elder at First Christian Church in Monticello.

Sam is married to Linda J. Brown, PT and they have two children, Joseph and Natalie, and has two grandsons, Gavin and Carter, and three granddaughters, Kate, Gloribelle, and Zoe.








   Dwanda Guffey, PTA

Dwanda is a graduate of Somerset Community College. She began working at Monticello Physical Therapy in 1991. She is also a clinical instructor for Somerset Community College.

Dwanda has worked in a variety of physical therapy settings and has experience and training in treating various orthopedic conditions, and has participated in the rehabilitation in patients of all ages.

In 2007 Dwanda was the recipient of the Advanced Proficiency Award from the American Physical Therapy Association.

She is married to Jim Guffey and has two sons, Tyler and Dylan.


  Cortnee Morrow, PTA

Cortnee is a graduate of Somerset Community College. She began working at Monticello Physical Therapy in 2015. Cortnee is married to Justin Morrow and has one son, Hudson.
